Naughty Boy

Junior was a very naughty boy.
He beat the girls and ran away,
He pinched babies and turned away,
He never listened to what grown-ups had to say.

"Junior, behave yourself!" Mama would scold.
"Junior, be kind!" Papa would warn.
But Junior didn’t care.
He loved causing trouble and running away before anyone could catch him.

At home, he never did his chores.
At school, he made too much noise.
He thought it was fun to make others cry.
Yes, Junior was a very, very naughty boy.

A Strange Encounter

One sunny afternoon, Junior was playing near the big mango tree in the village square when he saw a small boy sitting under the tree.
"Ah-ha!" Junior thought. "Another boy to tease!"

He ran up to the little boy and raised his hand to give him a playful slap.
But just as his hand was about to land—POOF!—
The boy disappeared!

Junior blinked. Where did he go?

Then suddenly—WHOOSH!
A tiny, tiny dwarf appeared before him!
He was no taller than Junior’s knee,
With a long curly beard and sparkling red eyes.
His voice was deep and booming.

"Junior!" the tiny dwarf said. "You have been very naughty!"

Junior gasped.
"W-who are you?" he stammered, stepping back.

"I am the Dwarf of Good Deeds," the tiny man said. "And I have come to teach you a lesson!"

Junior Learns His Lesson

Before Junior could run, the dwarf grabbed his ear—
TWIST! OWWW! Junior cried.
Then—BOP!—the dwarf punched Junior lightly on the nose.
"You must be kind to others!" the dwarf said firmly.
"If you keep being naughty, something bad will happen!"

Junior's heart pounded.
Was this magic? Was this a dream?
He rubbed his sore ear and nodded quickly.
"I will be good! I promise!" he said.

The dwarf looked at him for a long moment,
Then, just as quickly as he had come—POOF!—he disappeared.

Junior the Good Boy

From that day on, Junior changed.
He no longer beat little girls.
He no longer pinched babies.
He started doing his chores at home.
He listened to his teachers at school.
He even helped old Mama Nkechi carry her basket to the market!

Everyone was surprised.
"Junior, what happened to you?" they asked.
But Junior just smiled and said,
"Let’s just say… I met a very tiny teacher!"

And from that day forward,
Junior was no longer a naughty boy.

All thanks to the tiny, tiny dwarf.
